I am a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to providing therapy in a confidential, safe environment.  I see myself as a partner in the therapeutic process.  We are a team.  My role is not to give advice but rather to assist you in deciding what the best course of action is for you.  You are driving the bus.  I am a passenger, asking questions and providing information that will help you find the answers and ultimately achieve your goals.

Individual Therapy: one-on-one therapy with adults and teenagers

The goal of individual therapy is to learn new strategies to help you cope with life stressors and/or emotional or interpersonal challenges.

The focus of treatment can be multipurpose, including such areas as self-exploration and personal growth or the relief of specific symptoms, such as depression or anxiety.

Family Therapy: working with the family unit as defined by each unique and individual family

The goal of family therapy is to help improve relationships within the family system, resolve conflict and improve communication.  Family dynamics can be complicated and communication is not always easy.  Family therapy can help define roles within the family, improve communication, establish boundaries, improve understanding and create harmony.

Couples Therapy

The goal of couples therapy is to provide a forum for resolving conflicts, learning new styles of communicating, understanding the stressors of relationships and learning how to deal with an manage your emotions in relation to your partner.  Couples can learn how to resolve conflict in a safe and supportive environment.  Couples therapy can help with problematic patterns of communicating and issues related to intimacy or lack of emotional connection.  The goal is to help couples get back to a place of better understanding, where you feel that you have the tools necessary to navigate your relationship with respect, love and compassion.  Therapy can help you get the relationship that you want.
